This is one railroad I really wish I made gone to visit before moving away from the Northwest. St Maries is not far from the Reardan, WA area where I lived until 1995. Now I'm about 1800 miles away. I watched in horror when Potlatch sold the railroad and ceased running the Clarkia Logger. They mercilessly scrapped every one of the unique log cars built by the Milwaukee shops in the early 1970's but one or 2 were grudgingly sold to interested private parties and at least one is at the IW&M depot museum.
