All the times I went to the Cowan Tunnel, not once did I ever see a snake. I was more worried about getting shot or run over by the 10000 people on ATVs that speed along without worry on that trail.

I didn't know their scales had that central ridge. Interesting how that ridge is almost a fin on the upper scales and gradually reduces to nothing on the belly scales.

I kid you not when I say that a mental image of this photo pops in my head every time I am on that mountain during warm weather.

Man, if I saw that snake, I would be running like crazy, snakes are a BIG no for me.
