Nice shot with the windmill and a Kodachrome sky. It's also a good detail of the front, which has been modified from the original clamshell-type streamlined doors which concealed an inflatable diaphragm. And thanks for the "photo-promo!" Your recent Metroliner cab-control car shots have brought back a lot of memories. My 1974 Christmas present from my late father was a circle trip from Harrisburg-DC-Philly-Harrisburg, riding the "Broadway" down the Port Road to DC for $8 per ticket; but the real highlight was the Metroliner leg of the trip from DC-Philly. The orange interior at the time was really neat, but I remember the less than pleasant rough ride; I guess the track was fairly degraded by then. Glad that there is one car (No. 860) preserved at Strasburg. I hope that it can soon be protected from the weather and restored to allow visitation of the interior of the car.

I love this shot! Those Ex-Metroliner Cab Cars have certainly been around for an extremely long time along with the Amfleets. Sooner rather than later, we are going to know what will replace the Amfleets.
