I'm pretty sure these fools tore this same retarder and part of the hump out two years ago. I guess closing Linwood and rerouting all that traffic to Chattanooga isn't working out as well as they hoped.

NS seems to not know what it's doing right now. They shut down the hump at DeButts for a while before they realized that wasn't working, then they shut down the hump at Linwood, scaled back Belleview which they sunk tens of millions into expanding recently... At least CSX has some sort of plan and vision and are sticking to it...
