Daniel, very interesting photo, like most of your international adventures are. I wonder how all-weather that cab is? If all metal, then why the curtains? In any event, this being a late-model of an important mainline locomotive, I sure whatever they did was effective. I like the spigots on the side of the tender to determine water lever. Also interesting are the two skylights for the engineer. I am guessing that is for when he passed under signals at night or inclement weather?
