The fact the stack is wrapped in something to keep the rain out is a better indication that last fire has ben dropped from this old girl.

I heard scrap PRR steam was going for about $31,000 back at the end of steam. Sounds like a nice bargain if it were today. The looming shadows certainly lend to the photo as PRR steam was in its last months of operation. PRR 6969 is an M1 (she has exterior steam delivery piping to her valve cylinders and no feed water heater behind her stack). Thanks for sharing.
