I bet if they put them back in service again they would outlast some of the equipment they bought in the last 25 years. The last time I was on the subway riding some of the "newer" equipment I rode whn it was new (less than 20 years old) I could FEEL the metal fatigue. No way that stuff is going to last like these did!

Why are they on those complicated yellow posts? Wouldn't it have been easier to just put them right on the flatcars?
