Even though I reside along the KD Subdivision of CSX north of LaFollette, Tennessee, sometimes I drive down to Etowah and sit on the old L&N caboose #100 as shown in the photo just to watch the trains coming and going. Just to the right of the caboose out of picture is the old depot that has been converted into a railroad museum. This is a place that any railfan would enjoy. The caboose was re-painted a few years ago. At one time, you could walk through the caboose but because of the vandalism done inside, the doors are locked but you still look inside.
