They sure are purty. While Santa Fe's warbonnet scheme is generally regarded as the epitome of company designs, L&N colors as illustrated here are right up there in class and style.

Man, does that bring back memories of #5 (The Humming Bird) and #98 (The Pan American); traveling from Nashville to Mobile and vice versa. That liver was head and shoulders above the grey and yellow... in my opinion.
