Less comprehensive than I was expecting to see when clicking the notification bar.

I just drove through Waycross a week ago. So disappointed I missed this. Love the classic Chessie System scheme, always one of my favorites.
I'm not a fan. I think the whole unit needs to be Chessie. I also did not like the Baltimore and Ohio heritage painted unit that came out a few weeks ago.
Interesting concept. I am intrigued to see what other paint schemes will look like. L&N, Seaboard, ACL, B&O? How far back will CSX go?
Either paint it all Chessie or nothing at all. Don't care for the CSX front. Although, it does have bright colors.
It's all about marketing, to show CSX leading the way from their predecessors. Not to make us happy. I for one like the fade scheme idea.
I'd have to agree with the "all or nothing" approach, these look kind of hideous. That "transition" between the CSX front and the Chessie hood looks like it was done by a "tagger" running out of paint. And if they want to do a "Chessie" heritage unit, they need to pick something older with enough hood space for the "billboard" lettering. This looks like "N Gauge" decals on an "HO" model.
Count me as another all or nothing. I think they have enough hood space for the proper sized lettering. B&O had a GP9 in the 6600 series that had small lettering on it, but it was a one off I think. This doesn't look right in my opinion.

Actually, it looks quite right for something knocked out by Model Power or Tyco circa 1977.
