Granted this a photo shoot but today's impatient drivers would have already ran the crossing and missed the photo op/moment even in a classic car.

A few years back, I had a chance to ride in the fireman's seat on a steam locomotive operated by a very popular tourist line. Just on my short ride, I think I saw 4 motorists who pulled up to grade crossings, stopped, saw the train coming and decided to cross in front of us anyway. The Engineer told me that over the years, they had indeed hit a few vehicles. Fortunately, by the grace of God, they hadn't killed anybody.....yet. At that very same railroad, I have personally witnessed three close calls from the ground, all of which were entirely the fault of the motorist. In one case, the Engineer later told me that he never saw the car crossing from the left and that his only clue that he needed an emergency stop was when he saw ME running from my camera position to avoid what would have been the wreckage of that car. ALWAYS EXPECT A TRAIN, people!!!
