Interesting photo. No graffiti on the cars? I thought New York railcars were susceptible to being tagged with graffiti.

Subway cars are certainly targets for graffiti artists, but nowadays seeing "tagged" cars is far less common than it used to be given better security and TA policies of cleaning graffitied cars immediately. As I understand it, the tagged R32 cars seen on freight trains heading to the previous scrapper in Ohio were mainly tagged while they were in the NYNJ Rail yard waiting to be loaded on flat cars and shipped out, but from what I've been told this batch were immediately floated across the harbor and didn't sit in the yard long enough for anyone to get to them.
