This RDC-3, started life as a New Haven RDC-1, in 1953. This unit served on the old Boston & Maine, which had the largest fleet of these in the world, at 104 units. Somewhere along the string of several owners, it was converted into an RDC-3, which means it had a baggage compartment and a RPO, as well as the usual coach section. I've heard these were smooth riding.
