The coupler and draft gear aren't getting much support from the original carrier iron.

So very glad to see that it survived. Even in 2024 we are still somehow capable of allowing Alco cab units to fall through the cracks (an SP&S FA1 was scrapped earlier this year), so it is good to see that it was not the case here.
