The N&W A and J are racing past the photo line, transporting hundreds of conventioneers back to the glory days of steam. One wonders if this scene will ever be repeated.

N&W 611 has just crested the eastbound Blue Ridge Grade and the engineer has backed off the throttle. It's easy going from here to Lynchburg.
