US Sugar moved their first loads of sugar cane for the season from Moore Haven to the sugar mill in Clewiston on October 1st, using Pacific number 148 to mark the occasion.

Memorial Day 2021 finds ex-FEC #148 hauling the last cane loads of the season. They do plan to make this happen again during the next season.
After a few test runs in late spring & summer, #148 makes its official return to US Sugar on the first day of the 2020-2021 cane season, pulling a publicity train to the mill.
US Sugar quickly gained notoriety in 2020 for operating their steam locomotive on the only Toys For Tots special in the entire state of Florida.
