The mighty Mississippi River is frozen over as an SD70MAC handles a train into Savanna.

Southbound BNSF oil train rolls along the frozen Mississippi River valley with a pair of warbonnets.

CP local B67 with SOO 4409 & DME 3834 head back west on the main along the small yard at Savanna as they begin the days work.

DME 3834 & SOO 4409 wait at East Savanna for a fresh B67 local crew to come out and continue the switching.

SOO 4409 stands by at East Savanna waiting its next assignment. Soon, the B67 local crew will get to work switching out cars at Savanna and across the river at Sabula.

An eastbound vehicle train arrives Savanna with a Santa Fe C40-8W #910 and ex-SOO SD60 #6018. Sitting in the yard is another Santa Fe C44-9W that can barely be seen in the heavy snow.

Westbound stack train blasts out of Savanna along Rte 84 and Mississippi Palisades State Park with a reactivated SD75M.
