Grain train with BNSF 5184 and a nice Warbonnet throttle west toward the diamond to get a good run at the Gassman Coulee several miles west of town. Unlike Grand Forks, Minot has some hills...
CP 8545 passes right through the yard and continues east after waiting for BNSF 5523 to clear the diamond downtown.
BNSF 5523 notches it up as it accelerates west through west Minot and rounds the bend near the high school...
CP 8576 creates some noise downtown as it pulls a grain train away from the diamond with BNSF in downtown Minot...
Another railroad to add to the notch on the belt: SOO (finally). The daily CP Transfer is backing 44 cars east toward the interchange with BNSF.
PAL 8333 is a long way from home tracks and sits alone on a dead-end line near the CP yard in Minot.
BNSF 6918 and MRL 256 are underway again after a crew change and heading east toward Gavin Yard. The elevated walkway I took this shot from had recently re-opened.
