Running as light engines today, 392 heads east to fetch a load of coke from Monessen. The road on the right side of the photo is a PAT busway which parallels the W&LE for a couple of miles.
Wheeling Grande unit #302 has been spending a lot of time around Rook lately, this is the usual power for the Monessen coke train.
392 heads south on the former P&WV, passing through Brookline, a charming Pittsburgh neighborhood located just south of Downtown.
Sans hoppers, 392 departs Rook as a light engine move.
W&LE's afternoon coke train eases out of Rook with the 302 bringing up the rear.
