This is one of the four L&N orginals, not an SCL castoff. One wonders if these units ever pulled a passenger train, even in a test. Man, I'd like to have that shot.
The old enginehouse is still there in this shot. The late 3500s-early3600s were in an aborted merger number series and were the first L&N units delivered in FL.
This originally was the only ACL SDP-35 and was drafted by SCL for transfer to L&N due to a motive power shortage. I'd love to see a shot of this thing in passenger service if that ever took plac... (more)
