Coming back into Canton and lugging up the grade T31 passes the famous house and trestle.

Roaring back through town and just cresting the grade. T31 rolls by a bystander taking a video. I bet it was a good one with the train in notch 8 here.

T31 is in notch 8 passing Coburn to make a run up the 3.3% grade back to Canton.

T31 passes through the country side of Candler, NC as the mountains for which this railroad was named after makes a nice backdrop for this photo.

After completing work at Asheville T31 rolls through the small town of Enka headed for Canton.

Since they ran quite early, I grabbed a quick shot of night shift Canton to Waynesville T73 as they switched the Giles Chemical epsom salt plant.

T31 engines are just poking out of a tree tunnel and into the sun. The train is switching and picking up a GREX rock train that has just been loaded at Vulcan's Enka quarry.
