Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad K-36 class 2-8-2 #484 pulls a 12 car engineers school freight train through 'Windy Point' nearing the top of Cumbres Pass in southern Colorado.

C&TS #484 pulls 10 freight cars and two cabooses on its way east towards Osier.

We lucked into catching the last two days of Cumbres & Toltec's engineers school. They were using K-36 class #484 pulling 9 freight cars and a caboose seen here a couple miles west of Los Pinos.

After chasing the eastbound C&TS train until it entered isolation at Los Pinos. A long drive on a dirt road got me to Osier, Colorado, where the eastbound and westbound trains routinely meet. Soon... (more)
