Looking good in its new regalia this unit heads a train waiting to get into the yard by running up the main line and backing in.

Normally I hate, no despise, big city railfanning, particularly in this big city but this one was convenient and I do like the chunky little powerhouse locomotive.
Winter is the time to railfan down south and this was perfect weather.
Power for the Winston Salem Southbound train, which usually mixed the two southeastern competitiors.
