After five chases down the Thompson River Canyon to the Lytton Bridge we finally get a shot in the sun. That's how the game is played. Our reward was a BC Rail B39-8E as the second unit.

A ballast undercutter with 4 hoppers and a caboose is parked on the bridge at Lytton. It was there for over an hour between ballast dropping duties, in a perfect spot for photography!
