Unusual lead locomotive for these parts
After hearing 15T calling north of Front Royal we decided to head north to the nearest bridge before an estimated meeting time. The gamble paid off and this shot was possible with quite a hike!
Bound for Birmingham, 15T is lead by a ex-conrail widecab, second unit is a "snoot" tunnel motor.
Work train 946 (tie supply) holds the siding. White paint dabs on existing ties indicate removals.
