Norfolk Southern local P86 (Spartanburg, SC to Union, SC) picks up speed at Magnolia bound for the "W" line. The lead unit is one of only four GP38ACs left in active service on Norfolk Southern.

Built in November 1971 for the N&W today NS 4148 is only one of three GP38AC's that survive today on the roster. Here the 4148 leads a one car work train east towards Shelbyville Ky.
