DWP was experiencing traffic growth in the ealry 1980s and needed more cabooses. One example was a former GN St. Cloud shops caboose, DWP 53102, acquired from BN, shown at West Duluth, MN.

Canadian Pacific Caboose 434919 (Center Cupola) built in 1971 by CP Angus Shops, 434919 sold to New Brunswick Southern Railway in 1995.
