A rainy fall day in the mountains of Southwest Virginia finds an empty CSX coal train rolling westbound through Gate City enroute to the coalfields of Eastern Kentucky.
It's already a hot and humid morning as the turn out of Chester makes its way back home after dropping it's train of interchange cars at Richburg for the local switch crew.
