Utah Railway Company recently acquired a former KCS GP40 to supplement the road's other two (#3000-3001). The geep was working the Provo-Ogden local at Provo yard on the afternoon of October 15th.
A pair of Utah Railway geeps head west at Riverton with 28 cars of tonnage for Ogden, Utah. Utah Railway 3000 was built by EMD as the B&O 4046 in October 1971.
A Utah Railway MK50-3 was called to serve on the July 23rd RUT611 Provo-Ogden local. A heavy 72 car train was the reason the six axle machine was temporarily reassigned from hauling coal.
A 75 car Ogden Local charges east up the Cherry Hill grade between Farmington and Kaysville. The track to the left is UTA's new "Frontrunner" commuter line under construction.
