Now coming downgrade from Cumbres Pass, the train negotiates the east end of Tanglefoot Curve as the engineer lets loose with some melodious whistling.
Coming up to the standpipe at the Cumbres Pass Depot, Train 216 tops the grade at an elevation of 10,015 feet, 2,152 feet higher than the origin for the train 1 hour and 19 minutes earlier.
