Early February means cold in eastern Utah and 2011 was no exception. It was around 5 degrees below zero when I took this shot. This is the morning, loaded train headed for the Bonanza Power Plant.

If you want to get away, the Deseret Railway is the place for you! The Deseret exists solely to transport coal from the Deserado Coal Mine to the Bonanza Power Plant, located about 35 miles apart.... (more)
