The Pan Am loaded coal train NHB-46 has just exited the Hoosac Tunnel and is eastbound toward Greenfield with the NS Nickel Plate Heritage ES44AC 8100 in charge.

Just east of Hoosac Tunnel is this rather significant washout. Heavy rains from Tropical Storm Irene caused a stream to over flow and wash away the embankment of the Deerfield River Bridge.
