Canadian Allied Diesel MLW/ Alco yard/shop switcher. Notice the oil leaks slowly creeping along the muddy frame. ...and NO, it's not my car sitting in front of the loco ;-)
This Alco suffered a major failure in 2006, a crank shaft I believe. It was replaced by a former Black River EMD switcher. I've heard its been purchased by the DL.
No April Fools Joke here! A loaded rail train, with one old SP SD9 as power, grinds up Rex Hill. The train will be at the summit in about anout 5 car lengths.
