An interesting trio of locomotives on the CN job that shuttles ore loads and empties to the docks on Lake Superior silhouette against an interesting sky.

Another train of taconite pellets leaves the Iron Range of northern Minnesota bound for Proctor then Duluth and then a boat for a steel mill somewhere.

An IC/BLE/CN combo wait for a crew and dock personnel to arrive to begin dumping taconite pellets into the DMIR ore dock in Duluth.

Loaded out and ready to head back to Proctor with 144 loads of taconite pellets, the crew on board has the windows open to enjoy the first day of temps in the 60's (above zero!) in months here in ... (more)
