Three demonstrator SD70Ms have a southbound loaded coal train in tow at Altapass, NC

6799 nearing the north portal of Ridge Tunnel.

After having been pulled up the hill by the U301, the ballast train is back on the move at Altapass with a pair of ex-Conrail GE Junk Boats for power.

CSX U301 has cut away from his train and is going down the mountain to rescue a stalled out ballast train, seen here coming out of Vance Tunnel and by the south end of Toe River siding.
