After 3 years of blood, sweat and tears, the Heartland Corridor Project opened up today for doublestacks. Here is the first one to exit Glen Alum Tunnel.

A long westbound NS 233 splits the Elmwood signals, as somewhere around the bend, the eastbound 18M is still on the block, causing the intermediate signal to display a restricting signal.

The NS 233 heads under the eastbound cantilever signals for CP Lockbourne, as it heads off of the Lockbourne Siding after working the Rickenbacker Intermodal Terminnal.

Almost to the end of the long bridge that runs over the Scioto River, and the low area next to the river, the 233 with UP power trailing heads though Waverly in the late afternoon.

The 233 works on pulling a cut of cars out of Rickenbacker, this facility just to the south of Columbus was built as part of the Heartland Corridor.

Shortly after departing Rickenbacker, the 233 heads by the only spot that still has light making it to the track, as it runs parallel to Obetz-Reese Rd.

NS 233 blasts out of one of the twin Roderfield Tunnels.

I was hoping to catch both portals of the twin tunnels but 233 crossed mains between the tunnels on me. It was neat to see one train on both Pokey mains while in both tunnels.
