After crossing the plains east of Belen, New Mexico, an eastbound Santa Fe TOFC train is crossing the first bridge that it will encounter in Abo Canyon.

Our first morning at Abo Canyon, New Mexico started with a caboose hop with two GP30’s. It was fortunate to get it then, before we started climbing hills away from the tracks.
