I had only been living there for a couple of months and still had to remind myself I was really taking pictures on Cajon Pass almost every other weekend.

With units of the type already being rebuilt fortunately one was "kodachromed" in its original form.
Looking almost new, this "problem child" would become one member of the few GE locomotives extensively rebuilt. I hope there are more in the future.
It's crossing over itself but it's shot from the north face of the tunnel. I like that matched motive power consist.
