A mixed bag of NS power leads a 115-car long 154 north by the old yard at Spencer, NC on a nasty Saturday afternoon.

While at the streamliners event there was relief from the crowds and the heat in the shade here where one could always find a good conversation with knowledgeable railfans.

"It ain't prototype". Yeah, but it's pretty. This late model GP9 is great looking in passenger colors, which it did not wear in service. N&W as it should have been I like to think.
