Remarks & Notes |
Union Pacific #9000 sits on static display at the back of the RailGiants train museum in the L.A. County Fairgrounds on this nice July morning. UP 9000 is the sole survivor of 88 9000 class engines. This engine is also one of only four 3 cylinder engines left. The museum has the 5021 which is also a 3 cylinder engine as well. This isn't your average view of 9000. This photo was taken from on top of the DDA40X, 6915. The awesome benefits of being a member/volunteer- you can climb around the engines and get unique shots! It has been a goal of mine to get a picture from this museum on RP and I'm glad it finally happened. |
