Foster Townsend Rail Logistics GP9 207, working at the Lange-Stegmann Company's grain facility in Saint Louis, Missouri, on October 3rd, 2014, wears an attractive scheme. The roof-mounted air tanks and winterization hatch are a clue to this unit's heritage - built in July 1956 as Northern Pacific 276, this engine was later numbered Burlington Northern 1893 following the CB&Q-GN-NP-SP&S merger in 1970. The engine later ended up on Arizona's Copper Basin Railway (as their 207) before being purchased by FTRX. Photographed on private property with permission and full PPE.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
