As the sun sets on November 15, 2016, a Union Pacific eastbound rolls past the railroad's West Colton Yard in Bloomington, California. Situated at the junction of the Southern Pacific Railroad's Sunset Route and the 1967-built Palmdale Cutoff, and opened in 1973.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
