A quartet of BNSF Railway GP60M-3 locomotives leads the Cadiz Local (symboled L-CAL1161-13) from Barstow to the Arizona & California connection at Cadiz, about midway between Barstow and Needles, California. On this February 13, 2017, day, the train is approaching Siberia behind rebuilt GP60Ms, led by engine 144, which is the former BNSF 160, built in September 1990 as Santa Fe 160. Sure, they looked much better in the original Santa Fe "Superfleet" colors, but a solid set of them in fresh BNSF colors don't look so bad, either.
