A Canon City and Royal Gorge passenger train heads east at Parkdale, Colorado, on June 3, 2011. The train is piloted by unique cab car, a former Canadian National/VIA Rail steam generator rebuilt into HEP generator No. 15462 that is equipped with a cab. This allows the engineer to switch ends at the end of the run, instead of running the locomotives around the train for the eastbound trip. The train is about to duck under U.S Highway 50 overpass and enter the Royal Gorge.
