The butte for which the small town of Wagon Mound is named after provides scenic backdrop for the eastbound Southwest Chief, which is about to split some of the few remaining semaphore signals anywhere on a Class 1 in the US. These signals date back to another era of railroading and are not long for this world in an age of modernization.
