A loaded grain train out of Yetter bound for Helvetia, LA, for unloading passes thru Independence. Odd ball KCS unit is helping the cause out today. We don't see alot of KCS power in Iowa on the CN, but more KCS power has been running on the CN with the increase business of unit trains that go to the KCS at Jackson, MS. The 4608 came out with another KCS on an empty grain train bound for Hinton. Independence is located in eastern Iowa on the CN Dubuque Sub at MP 252.
Tier IV locomotives are the safest, cleanest, and most fuel efficient locomotives on the rails today. Unfortunately, most of them are ugly and are as quiet as an ACS-64.
