The Erie Coke Corporation's in-plant switching railroad is hard at work loading hoppers with product for outbound shipment. A former South Buffalo SW1200 is moving a string of HIPX hoppers that were loaded by front end loader, and will place them with a string of loads that will be picked up by CSX for interchange with the Buffalo & Pittsburgh for shipment. Located on the shore of Lake Erie, the company has come under scrutiny for environmental issues and may be forced to shut down in the near future.
