Possibly the shortest intermodal train I’ve ever seen (just 12 platforms!) passes under the old Pennsylvania Railroad position light signals in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania, on September 21, 2019. Norfolk Southern train 21V is powered by AC44C6M 4085 and ES40DC 7522. This would be the last full day of operation for these venerable old signals, this design of which began to be used in the 1920s, as the signal bridges in Leetsdale would be removed the next day, on September 22, 2019. (Thanks to Marc Lingenfelter for the symbol.)
