About four hours after departing the Port of Long Beach, BNSF Railway train S-LBESTL1-16 has gotten to Fullerton - some 35 to 40 miles away. It took a while because it was held at Los Angeles’ Hobart Yard to wait out the morning commuter rush. This 9903-foot intermodal train, powered by BNSF Dash 9-44CWs 5056 and 4644, along with Norfolk Southern SD70ACe 1067, up front, and BNSF ES44DCs 7768 and 7399 on the rear, is heading to Saint Louis MO. NS 1067, the railroad’s Reading Company Heritage unit, has been on the BNSF for the better part of two months.
