CN has been putting together some really neat lash-ups lately. Here, as the shadows grow long on a late summer evening, we see L515 preparing to shove into Markham Yard with IC 1036, IC 1027, IC 9571, EJE 669, GTW 4632 and IC 1024. 515 is the Kirk to Markham turn and has been a goldmine when it comes to photographing IC power. Homewood Station, which was opened in 1923, stands to the left. Things will be looking quite different during and after its renovation. Town residents, IC 8408 and caboose 9406 can be seen behind the station. They were recently relocated to make room for the renovation.
Crazy pool power consists, colorful gatherings of locomotives at a diesel service area, or a mixture of colorful locomotives in storage lines. A minimum of four different paint schemes required.
